Shalisa Barton, is a 2021 graduate of Queen's University, Bachelor of Nursing Science Program and began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse amidst the COVID 19 Pandemic, in Moose Factory, Ontario. Over the last year and a half, she has begun working in the emergency department and recently accepted a role as the Charge Nurse of the Inpatient Department.

Shalisa will discuss the positive and negative experiences of entering the nursing field amidst a pandemic in a remote community, what experiences led her to choose remote nursing, how she learned to cope and maintain personal wellness while in a high stress environment, and what she learned about personal and community resilience.

The recording will be shared with registrants approximately one week after the session.
