Dr. Denise Stockley is a Professor at Queen’s University, where she works within the Office of the Provost (Teaching and Learning Portfolio) and the Faculty of Health Sciences. She is also the Co-Director of the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) program. Her academic focus includes health education, with particular attention to how teaching practices can be improved in health professions training. Dr. Stockley has contributed to faculty development initiatives and has been involved in projects that explore effective teaching and learning strategies, including the use of educational technology and blended learning. She has worked on integrating research into teaching practice and supports programs that help educators in the health field reflect on and enhance their teaching approaches. Her research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning, health professions education, research ethics, and academic leadership. She has conducted studies examining how educational environments support professional identity development and learning outcomes in health education. She previously served as President of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE), where she supported collaboration and community-building within the organization.
