Regardless of where you work in healthcare, you have likely been a part of difficult conversations, either with patients, families, or colleagues. In conversation with Damon Dagnone, Valerie Cooper will share her experiences with these difficult conversations as a Hospice Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, as well as some of the strategies that she uses to get through these situations. These uncomfortable conversations can’t be avoided, but getting through them in a positive way can bring a lot of brightness to a potentially dark moment, for everyone involved.
