ONLINE - Lyme Disease: Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Presentations

Primary Care Providers are welcome to attend the 2020 Lyme Disease Program. 

We are pleased to have guest speaker, Dr. John Aucott, joining us remotely to discuss post-treatment Lyme Disease. Dr. Aucott is an associate professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. An internist and Lyme disease expert in the Division of Rheumatology, he is the director of the Johns Hopkins Lyme Disease Clinical Research Center.

 

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this conference the learner will be able to:

  • Integrate learnings from the epidemiology of Lyme Disease and its incidence within our region into clinical practice.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and disseminated Lyme Disease
  • Recognize rheumatological, cardiovascular, and neurological presentations of Lyme Disease

This Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by Queen’s University for up to 3.75 Mainpro+ credits. This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and is approved by the Office of Continuing Professional Development, Queen’s University.
