The NSERC USRA Program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to work in a research lab during the summer.  Details of the program, including eligibility can be found at:

The Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences has recently received an allotment of 8 awards for the Summer of 2016, which will be evaluated and awarded on a competitive basis.  The guidelines for application are attached to this message as a PDF document and the deadline for submission is 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016.

If you are eligible to apply, the first step in the application process is to find an eligible faculty member who is willing to sponsor your application.  Eligible faculty (those holding NSERC Discovery grants) within DBMS include:

For the February 12th deadline and subsequent review 1) student applicants from Queen’s do not need to provide an official transcript as Anne Tobin will print one from Solus; 2) student applicants from other institutions will need to submit an official transcript.  Once the review is complete, those Queen’s students who have been accepted will be asked to request an official transcript.
