Dr. Jennifer Flemming is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Public Health Sciences at Queen’s University with clinical training in gastroenterology, hepatology and liver transplantation. She is also an ICES Adjunct Scientist and Site Director of ICES Queen's.
Dr. Flemming is a clinician scientist who leads a research program which leverages Ontario administrative data housed at ICES to evaluate the epidemiology and outcomes of patients with cirrhosis and recently appointed as the ICES-Queen’s Site Director. Her research has been supported by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program.

Dr. Morgan Slater is a Research Scientist with the Health Services and Policy Research Institute (HSPRI); an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Department of Family Medicine; and an Adjunct Scientist with ICES. Prior to joining HSPRI, she was a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Family Medicine and part of the inaugural cohort of Health System Impact Fellows, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. She received her BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, a MSc in Community Health Sciences (University of Calgary), and PhD from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Slater has over 10 years of experience in clinical research, the majority of which have been in primary care. Her research interests focus on utilizing the rich, complementary information in electronic medical records and administrative health data to answer important questions focused on improving patient care and changing health policy.

Dr. Nickel is an applied population health scientist who uses administrative data to conduct policy-focused health outcomes research. Specifically, Dr. Nickel’s research interests centre on examining how the social and structural determinants impact population health and health inequities. Within this framework he has conducted evaluation research looking at programs aimed at improving child outcomes; mental health and addictions research examining outcomes associated with alcohol use disorders and methamphetamine use; and outcomes associated with interactions with provincial systems such as the justice and child welfare systems.
Much of Dr. Nickel's research is done in partnership with First Nations, Métis and Inuit organizations in Manitoba.

Dr. Michael Green was appointed as the Brian Hennen Chair and Head of the Department of Family Medicine on July 1, 2017. He is Professor of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences at Queen’s University, was the inaugural Clinical Teachers Association of Queen’s University Chair in Applied Health Economics/Health Policy from 2014-2017.
Dr. Green formerly served as Director of the Centre for Health Services and Policy Research as well as Founding Director of the Health Services and Policy Research Institute (HSPRI). He is a Senior Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES). In 2018 he was elected as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and he has served on many professional and government expert committees including the Ontario Expert Panel on Wait Times in Primary Care, the Advisory Committee on Ontario’s Immunization System Review, the College of Family Physicians of Canada Indigenous Health Working Group and Patient’s Medical Home Steering Committee, and Health Quality Ontario’s Primary Care Advisory Committee.
Dr. Green currently leads INSPIRE-PHC, a research/policy partnership addressing the major health system challenges of equitable access to high quality primary health care and better co-ordination and integration of PHC with other parts of the health and social care system.
