The Queen’s Sim Innovation Advisory Board is hosting SimTank, an exciting Shark Tank-style pitch competition on June 11th, 2026, designed to spark innovative and scalable projects that advance healthcare simulation at Queen’s Health Sciences and support SEAMO physicians engaged in simulation-based education, broadly defined. Supported by SEAMO funding, SimTank invites simulation education innovators to collaborate across disciplines and connect with corporate and community partners as they pitch their ideas to secure funding from a panel of expert judges.
Each project must include a SEAMO physician, align with SEAMO priorities, and focus on cutting-edge simulation innovations, with strong emphasis on sustainability and scalability. While the spotlight is on innovation, teams will also receive support to measure and publish their outcomes, broadening impact and fostering research capacity. This annual event will bring together a vibrant mix of Queen’s community members, feature forward-thinking guest speakers and expert panelists, and offer past winners opportunities to showcase their progress and compete for increased funding across three consecutive yearly events.
