The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) is pleased to announce the launch of Dean Philpott’s Cinq à Sept Research Talks. The monthly series, which will showcase innovations in health research at Queen’s, is like nothing FHS has hosted before.
With its first event on October 27th, each Cinq à Sept Research Talk will feature two researchers who will deliver compelling TED-style talks, telling their stories to an intimate audience of students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members. A reception following the talks will serve as a forum to inspire collaboration and connection as guests interact and discuss what they’ve heard.
The Cinq à Sept Research Talk is inspired by the French tradition of gathering at the end of the workday. Running from 5pm to 7pm, the events will be held close to campus to allow for participants to shift from work or the classroom to the event before going home.
Tickets for the events, while limited, are free and available to FHS students, staff and faculty as well as Queen’s alumni and members of the Kingston community on a first come first served basis. To request a ticket, please add your name to the wait list here.
You will be contacted when a ticket becomes available for an upcoming Cinq à Sept event. All Dean’s Cinq à Sept Talks will be recorded and made publicly available after the event has concluded.
