Dr. Imaan Bayoumi is an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine, cross appointed to the Department of Public Health Sciences. She is also an ICES Adjunct Scientist. Her research interests include social determinants of children’s health with a focus on family income and children’s health, iron deficiency in young children, developmental assessment in young children. Her work also focuses on evaluating interventions that can improve social determinants of health, including screening and mechanisms to improve integration of social services with health services, health justice partnerships and other innovations. Additional research interests include access to health services for adults with mental health disorders, and other under-served groups.
