Laura Pozzobon (she/her) is a Registered Nurse, Certified Health Executive, and PhD student in Health Quality at Queen's University. Her career has been defined by a commitment to advancing safe, equitable, and patient-partnered care. She is the Director of Quality, Safety & Patient Experience at Women's College Hospital (WCH), where she leads system-level initiatives that improve care delivery, reduce avoidable harm, and strengthen patient and family engagement. Her research focuses on patient engagement in patient safety and leadership in patient safety and quality improvement, with her PhD work examining patient involvement in measuring medication safety at local, national, and global levels.
Laura is dedicated to preparing health professionals with practical, relevant knowledge by bringing research into the classroom in ways that are both applicable and understandable. She also focuses on developing the collaborative skills needed for today’s complex healthcare environment. Her teaching approach encourages reflection, problem-solving, application, and collaborative dialogue.
