Dr. Jason Beyea can co-supervise PhDHQ students.
Biography
Dr. Beyea completed otolaryngology – head and neck surgery residency at the University of Western Ontario, and an otology/neurotology/skull base surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University. Dr. Beyea began on staff at Hotel Dieu Hospital/Kingston General Hospital in 2015 as a clinician/surgeon scientist. His research interests include the novel usage of population data, through IC/ES Queen’s, to evaluate predictive and preventative factors for ear disease and hearing loss. Dr. Beyea’s research has been published in leading otolaryngology – head and neck surgery journals, including The Laryngoscope, and Otology & Neurotology. Clinically, he has established a lateral skull base surgery program at Kingston Health Sciences Centre in collaboration with the division of neurosurgery, and has also established an implantable hearing devices program at Hotel Dieu Hospital in collaboration with the department of audiology/speech pathology.
