October 7th at 7am, join Faculty Development at the University Club for the New Faculty Welcome Breakfast.
You will meet the Dean and Vice Deans, as well as fellow new faculty members.
Introductions will start promptly at 7:30, feel free to arrive before then to grab some coffee, breakfast and a good seat.
OPDES provides programming and services for faculty and community practitioners on all aspects of the educational process. Our Continuing professional development (CPD), Faculty Development, Educational Scholarship and Course Development teams offer support, mentorship, and leadership with professional learning and development, curriculum and course design, program evaluation, global education, accreditation, and educational research.
Please note the following guidelines that have been established for Queen's Faculty Development programming:
- Queen's Faculty Development programming strongly recommends being up-to-date and boosted against pathogens of public health concern.
- Self-assessment for COVID-19 symptoms is required before attending Queen’s FD programs. You may use the province's self-assessment tool. Anyone with symptoms must stay home and not attend the program. Please be prepared to show proof of screening at the door. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/
- In small group settings and private offices where physical distancing cannot be maintained, masking is strongly recommended and may be requested by instructors.
ASTM F2100 Level 2 or 3 medical -grade masks will be provided at the registration desk for all attendees and speakers.
- Practice physical distancing and avoid close contact when possible.
- Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance and throughout the room for your use.
