Despite the uncertainty caused by COVID-19, Faculty of Health Sciences faculty and staff have been hard at work ensuring that the programs that we offer will still have the high quality of delivery that the Faculty of Health Sciences and its three schools, Medicine, Nursing and Rehabilitation Therapy, are known for.

How FHS students are volunteering with seniors in our community

As social distancing measures continue across Canada, I have been astounded at the ways in which students within the Faculty of Health Sciences have stepped forward in a volunteer capacity. And yet in a very short time, we have reached this place, and come to accept it as our new - albeit temporary - normal.

Not Your Average Lasagna

Not your average lasagna As I reflect back on the last 10 years as dean of this remarkable faculty and school of medicine, without a doubt, some of my fondest memories will be our student dinners. Back in 2010, as I was preparing to become the “new dean at Queen’s” my wife Cheryl asked me a simple, yet profound question.
