Cystic Fibrosis Canada is Recruiting Volunteers!

Sunday, May 27th is Kingston’s Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History

Cystic Fibrosis Canada is a national charitable not-for-profit corporation established in 1960, and is one of the world’s top three charitable organizations committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). As an internationally recognized leader in funding innovation and clinical care, we invest more in life-saving CF research and care than any other non-governmental agency in Canada.

Cystic Fibrosis is a fatal genetic disease impacting over 4,200 Canadians. People with Cystic Fibrosis must adhere to a strict infection control policies which means they cannot connect to others with the disease indoors. The only chance for our community to come together is at our Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History because it is outdoors; making this event extra special for those living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families.

We are recruiting volunteers to join our Walk Committee. These volunteers will participate in the planning process with a team of volunteers and together create a successful fundraising event in support of those living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families. This position will work closely with the chapter representatives, and work to help recruit, train and work lead our volunteers while ensuring the elements align with the national campaign. The coordinator will communicate with Regional and National staff, and will receive support, training documents, and guidance. This role will be a critical in the success of our 2018 Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History.
