Educating Family Physicians in Palliative Care is funded by the Ministry of Health, Kingston Area Long-term Care Division. There is no registration fee for practicing family physicians; only a $100 deposit which will be returned when you complete the course. Registration is limited to 12 spots.
Eligibility
Family physicians practicing within the South East or Central East LHIN are eligible to participate in the program.

Schedule & Format
This program will be held online and will consist of a combination of pre-recorded sessions and “live” Zoom sessions. The "live" Zoom session schedule will be as follows:
- Friday, May 28 - 1:00 PM - 4:15 PM
- Saturday, May 29 - 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM
- Friday, June 4- 1:00 PM - 4:15 PM
- Saturday, June 5 - 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Approximately 4 hours worth of pre-recorded sessions will be sent to learners on May 19 - these sessions must be completed prior to the first Zoom session on May 28th.
An additional 2.5 hours of pre-recorded sessions will be sent to learners on the afternoon of May 29. These sessions must be completed prior to the June 4th Zoom session.
Credits
This Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by Queen's University for up to 85.5 Mainpro+ credits.
The 4-day program, a pre-program knowledge assessment, post-program reflection and assessment, and a one-day preceptorship (to be scheduled at a later date) must be completed in full in order to receive the Mainpro+ certificate for this program.
