Essentials of Classroom Teaching is a day-long workshop to support residents and faculty interested in enhancing their teaching skills in the classroom.

Workshops for the day will include:

  • Preparing to Teach (which includes lesson planning, creating a syllabus, and constructing effective learning strategies that align with the learning experiences, assessment, and CanMEDS roles)
  • Overcoming Teaching Challenges
  • Active Learning Strategies
  • Teaching with Technology
  • Effective Strategies for Case-Based Learning
