Unconscious Bias Training

Date: Wednesday, January 27, 2021 @ 4:30-6:30pm OR Tuesday, February 9, 2021 @ 1:30-3:30pm

Audience: Students, Staff, and Faculty

Description: During this session, participants will explore the understanding, application and manifestation of unconscious bias in the admissions process. Participants will be provided with an opportunity to reflect on their biases as well as the implications of these biases in decision making.

Anti-Oppression Training

Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2021 @ 9:30-11:30am

Audience: Students, Staff, and Faculty

Description: During this interactive session, participants will explore anti-oppression and its manifestations in both the personal and professional realm. Through the use of, health care related case studies, participants will be practice and hone their anti-oppressive skills.

Responding to Disclosures/Grievances

Date: Wednesday 24, 2021 @ 9:30-11:30am

Audience: Staff and Faculty

Description: During this session, participants will learn about Human Rights Advisory Services. In addition, participants will learn how to receive and respond to a disclosure related harassment, discrimination and/or gender-based violence.

Sexual Violence Policy Training

Date: Varies dates

Audience: Students, Staff, and Faculty

Description: The focus of these 60 minute sessions is on policy revisions, roles and responsibilities of employees who receive a disclosure of sexual violence from a student and how to respond to a disclosure.  The sessions include a 10-15 minute Q&A opportunity.  Presented by Barb Lotan, Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Coordinator.
