Centre for Health Services and Policy Research (CHSPR)

The Centre for Health Services and Policy Research (CHSPR) strives to enhance the credibility and capacity of Queen's University to understand and contribute to the rapidly developing field of health services research, health program evaluation, and health policy analysis. By creating a centralized, multi-disciplinary organization, CHSPR aims to establish a visible scholarly presence on a provincial, national, and international level.

Housed within the Faculty of Health Sciences, CHSPR maintains close ties to the Department of Public Health Sciences, School of Policy Studies, School of Rehabilitation Therapy, Faculty of Law, and many other departments at Queen's.

MIchael GreenMessage from the Director

CHSPR continues to be very active in research in policy relevant areas such as care of vulnerable populations (mental health, aboriginal health, disability policy).  The past year saw us exploring new opportunities in international collaborations with New Zealand, and we were thrilled to host Dr. Tim Tenbensel from Auckland in the fall.  We look forward to welcoming more visitors in the year ahead.

It is a great feeling to be a part of such a dynamic team that is tackling important policy relevant issues through research.  I hope you enjoy the report and look forward to leading the centre as it evolves and becomes a part of the proposed new Queen’s Health Services and Policy Research Institute.
