Paediatric Family Volunteer Program

Kids with Parents, Grandparents or Caregivers…

What Volunteers do?

You are the “patient” or “client” for one or two students who will:

• Practice interview, or

• Perform a well-baby/child check – including taking a health history and physical examination, or

• Perform a developmental assessment using age – appropriate activities

Benefits of Volunteering:

• Help teach future doctors and nurses to become more competent and confident with children.

• Participate in a fun and unique learning experience with your child.

Who Can Volunteer? Anyone can!

We need:

• Families with infants 9 months and older

• Toddlers 2-4 years old

• Sessions last from 20 to 45 minutes.

• We plan around your schedule.

• You may come in as often as you wish – usually 1-3 times per year.
