Dean Richard Reznick is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Deborah Brown as Special Assistant to the Dean in the areas of industry engagement and commercialization.
Ms. Brown earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph in 1984. She later pursued her Master of Business Administration at the Richard Ivey School of Business at University of Western Ontario, graduating in 1995.
Ms. Brown recently retired from her position as President and Managing Director of EMD Serono, a position that she held for over ten years. Previously, her pharmaceutical career has included positions in regulatory affairs, biometrics, sales management, research, marketing, and general management. She has also led the launch of several leading biologic products in both the US and Canada. During her time at EMD Serono, she was elected by her peers as the Board Chair of Rx&D.
Ms. Brown is also involved in her community and several charitable organizations. She is a founding member of Women Against MS, which is a special fundraising group of the MS Society, and Halton Women's Place, an organization that offers shelter and crisis services for abused women and their children.
Dean Reznick looks forward to using the insights she has gained from her diverse experiences to inform the faculty's approach in building stronger relationships with industry partners.
Dean Reznick would also like to take this opportunity to thank Paul Lucas for his valued work on the Industry Engagement Strategy, and he wishes him well in his retirement.
