The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) has a strategic objective of expanding its capacity and capability to conduct research that is encompassed by Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Pillars 3 and 4 (i.e. health services, policy and population health research). Guided by this objective, the Task Force on Health Services, Policy and Population Health Research was created with the purpose of making recommendations on:
- The optimal organizational design for the FHS units that are currently engaged in or support Pillars 3 and 4 research.
- Strategies and actions that will enable enhancement of the scholarly productivity of involved faculty and their generation of high-impact research.
The Task Force invites investigators conducting research in these areas to participate in this process of identifying: current needs and future requirements; mechanisms to improve sustainability; and fostering potential synergies with groups elsewhere in the University which are also involved in CIHR Pillars 3 and 4 Research.
